About

Jason Swanson is a Futurist and life long Martial Artist.

The Future of Martial Arts is a blog based around his interest in foresight and the fighting arts. The interviews all share a common theme ; dialogue about each practitioner’s experience in their respective style, the changes that are happening to that style from both inside and outside of the martial arts world, and how that style might be different in the future due to those changes.

“My vision for this blog to is create an open forum for martial artists to talk about their experiences in the martial arts world, explore change, and give us their image of the future.  My hope is to foster an open dialogue about the future”

Jason lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Besides his interest in Future Studies and Martial Arts, he enjoys traveling, art, reading, and movies.

Mr. Swanson, I don’t see a way to contact you via email or message through this website. I respect what you are trying to do here, but you have published some unqualified claims by individuals here that the smallest amount of research would have shown to be false. If your goal is actually to advance martial arts you should understand that publishing false or misleading information does a disservice to the martial arts community as well as the general public. Please try to meet a basic journalistic standard in the future and fact check your articles before publication. Please feel free to contact me if you have question regarding the details of my complaints.
